Services

Business Development

Centennial Nonprofit Consulting, LLC can help you evaluate the past and plan for the future. I offer an iterative approach to strategic planning that meets your budgetary needs. With a background in survey development and administration and focus groups, I can tailor an approach that includes all necessary stakeholders.

Board development topics can include roles and responsibilities, fundraising, board governance, and much more. I have worked with hundreds of boards of directors in a variety of capacities, including serving as a board member.

Financial management is a key component to any organizational sustainability. Please reach out if your organization could use support around budgeting, creating financial dashboards, or helping members of your organization understand your financial position.

Fundraising

Centennial Nonprofit Consulting, LLC can support all aspects of grant writing from researching funders to creating grant tracking mechanisms to applying for grants to understanding the terms of government grant agreements.

In order to diversify funding for organizations, I can also prepare fundraising plans and provide donor relations support.

Operations and Administration

Operations is often overlooked when thinking about an organization’s capacity. Policies, risk management, technology, and systems are what keeps an organization safe and running smoothly and are just as important as fundraising and programming.

It is important to right-size and ensure your organization has the right policies in place for its size, staffing structure, and operations. I can review what is currently in place, make recommendations for what you should add, and draft templates for legal review.

I can also review the risk management strategies you have in place, including insurance policies, and make recommendations.

Finally, I can review the systems, processes, and technology solutions that currently exist and make recommendations for where your organization will be in 3-5 years.

While it is also best to review operations and administrative needs proactively, please reach out if there is a need to implement something immediately or in the near-term in response to a crisis or incident.

Fiscal Sponsorship/ Starting a Nonprofit

If your organization is currently being fiscally-sponsored by another 501(c)(3) organization, I can help you determine if your organization has the capacity to become your own stand-alone 501(c)(3) organization. If your organization is ready to spin-off, I can provide support for the process, including making recommendations around software, staffing, board structure, as well as helping with the application process to the IRS. If your organization needs more time, I can create a plan for what should be in place before you do spin-off, including what timing makes the most sense for your organization.

If you are just getting started with your nonprofit venture, I can provide guidance around the options you have available to you regarding legal structures. I can also assist with setting up the infrastructure you will need to launch successfully, including assisting with the process to become a 501(c)(3) organization .

Team Resources

Despite our best efforts to avoid it, staff transition is healthy and normal in organizations. I can support your organization during executive transitions, from putting a plan in place for the transition to providing a scope of work specific to your organization to support your organization during your transition.

I can also provide non-legal feedback on job descriptions and hiring processes, including things to consider from a Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI) perspective. I can also connect you to JEDI consultants to further your work in this area.

Coaching

I can provide individualized and confidential coaching to anyone on your team. If you have a need that is not listed on this page, please reach out to discuss whether Centennial Nonprofit Consulting, LLC can provide the service you need. It is important to me that your needs are met, either by Centennial Nonprofit Consulting LLC or through a referral to another specialist.
